Living smack dab in the middle of the multi-year road demo and realignment project of West Colorado Avenue certainly has had its downsides: Commute to pretty much anywhere involves negotiating multiple flaggers and, often, a single lane of alternating traffic. It's tough to maintain a surly attitude - even after getting stuck for five minutes, on a coffee run, within spitting distance of my house - when Smiling Sign Guy is on duty, though. Road construction is difficult and dangerous work, and that's too easy to forget when you're an inconvenienced driver. Thank you SSG for reminding me, in the nicest way possible, to take it easy when I "Stop" and "Slow" when I go, in life and on the road.
