BJ’s Velvet Freez
BJ’s opened as a Tastee Freez in 1954 and it has been a Colorado Springs favorite ever since. Now owned by Corey Houger, whose family bought the business in 1989, the drive-in still serves classic staples, including fries, burgers and sandwiches. I’m a sucker for the Boston Shake — an ice cream sundae on top of a shake.
